I take a deep breath and release all the stress,
In hopes that this will be a success
I prepare myself as I run on the field,
Keeping all my emotions concealed
Nothing is stronger than my desire to win,
So I don’t have to think of what could have been
The whistle blows to start the game,
I hear my family shouting my name
All the running and hard work that causes a sweat,
Pays off when I see the ball in the net
It comforts me to have a coach as a guide,
Along with all my teammates standing by my side
This game has brought me so much support,
To me soccer is not just a sport
Playing on many teams as a member,
Has taught me life lessons I’ll always remember
If you work hard and always push through,
You’ll accomplish your dreams if you really try to.
